The mortgage market, particularly the private mortgage market, is a growing multi-billion dollar industry involving a very high percentage of residential and commercial mortgages issued in USA and Canada . Currently we are focused on the Canadian real estate market due to the turbulence effecting USA markets. The housing market in Canada continues to perform strongly, and is less subject to industry downturns due to conservative lending policies.
The Canadian mortgage market is in transition. Recent innovation in mortgages, along the line of what is already available in other countries, is a clear reflection of an evolving market. And this is just the beginning. Over the next 5-10 years, innovation in the mortgage market will accelerate at a pace not seen before in Canada .
